Learning outcomes
To provide design skills in the field of structural mechanics.
Program
First part Mechanical behaviour of material: plasticity, linear elastic and elasto plastic fracture mechanics, creep, low cycle fatigue.
Second part structural analysis of discs, pipes, plates and shells.
Development of the examination
LEARNING EVALUATION METHODSWritten and oral examinations, and a brief thesis work
LEARNING EVALUATION CRITERIAIn the written test, the student must demonstrate the ability to solve three design and/or verification questions, with the help of the formulas and mathematical tools presented during the lectures. In the oral examination, the student must answer one or two questions, showing that he had learned the main concepts and the theoretical basis of advanced structural mechanics.
LEARNING MEASUREMENT CRITERIAA mark out of ten will be given to each of the three tests.
FINAL MARK ALLOCATION CRITERIAThe final mark will be sum of the votes of the written, oral and brief thesis tests.l
