Program
Minerals and rocks: classification, identification, technical properties and utilization. Elements of tectonics and stratigraphy. Geological map interpretation and geological sections. The hydrographic basin in the territorial analysis, control and management. The hydrologic cycle and balance. Groundwaters: hydraulic characteristics of rocks and types of aquifers. Darcys law. Circulation and quality of waters. Interpretation of the hydrogeological maps. Landslides: classification, examples, factors contributing to landslides. Preventive and remedial measures. The Geology applied to the engineering works.
Development of the examination
LEARNING EVALUATION METHODSPractical test of recognition of rocks and use of thematic maps, oral test on the course program.
LEARNING EVALUATION CRITERIAOrganization, synthesis and completeness in the discussion of the topics of the questions.
LEARNING MEASUREMENT CRITERIAFirst part (oral): interpretation of a geological map and recognition of a rock . Second part (written test which can be accessed only if passed the first test): 5 open questions on various parts of the program.
