Prerequisites
Basic elements of urban and territorial project.

Learning outcomes
The course examines the structure of the settlements under the historical, analytical and planning. They are in-depth history of the planning and processing techniques Urban Planning. The exercises may consist of elementary project of a development plan, recovery or landscape. The laboratory will deal with design studies in elementary character on the design and planning. It is strictly related to the practical application of the topics covered in the main course of Urban Design 1 and will be able to properly coordinate with other disciplines of the Area of the history of art and architecture, representation and relief Economic area, legal and sociological Area, architectural design and restoration area

Program
Students have to arrange an essay concerning with topics of the course: meanings and symbols of ancient or ideal towns to be compared with planning choices for the town of the future.

Development of the examination
Students activity will be tested in the examination of the teaching which is entrusted with the management of the laboratory.
