Learning outcomes
The course provides the main modelling tools for the study of the dynamics of discrete and continuum systems. Methods are proposed for the seismic analysis of structures (frames, beams and bars), and for the study of wave propagation in continuum media
Program
Dynamics of single and multi-degree of freedom systems. Modal analysis. Dynamics of frames. Dynamical analysis prescribed by the current technical codes.
ONLY LM Ing. Edile: Dynamics of continuum systems: beams, trusses, plates. Wave propagation.
Development of the examination
LEARNING EVALUATION METHODSwritten test, with exercises of structural dynamics analogous to those developed in the course, and oral exam where the main issues of the course are discussed.
LEARNING EVALUATION CRITERIAThe capability of solving exercises and the comprehension of the main issues of the course will be checked.
LEARNING MEASUREMENT CRITERIAwritten test and oral exam will be evaluated through marks
FINAL MARK ALLOCATION CRITERIAThe final marks will take into account the marks of both the written test and the oral exam.
