Prerequisites
Knowledge of the basic concepts of Mathematic course

Learning outcomes
Knowledge of the basic concepts of the Experimental Physics with a particular attention to the laws of classical mechanics. Acquisition of the physical concepts necessary for the correct interpretation of the phenomena correlated with the motion of body and fluids.

Program
Scalars and vectors, displacement, velocity and acceleration. Forces and force of gravity. Fundamental law of dynamics. Equations of motion and initial conditions. Gravitation field and electrical field. Friction. Law of conservation of linear momentum. Total and kinetic energy.Elementary collision. Rotational motion. Moment of force and moment of inertia. Conservative forces and potential energy. Internal energy and the law of conservation of energy. Molecular – kinetic theory of gases. Ideal gas and the first law of thermodynamic. Second law of thermodynamic. The equation of continuity and the Bernoulli´s equation.

Development of the examination
LEARNING EVALUATION METHODS
Written examination consisting of problems concerning the topics of the course. An additional oral examination could be requested.

LEARNING EVALUATION CRITERIA
In the written test, the student must demonstrate knowledge of the physical laws of mechanics of rigid bodies, fluids and thermodynamics. The oral test will evaluate the student's ability to outline and predict the mechanical evolution of a generic physical system

LEARNING MEASUREMENT CRITERIA
Evaluation expressed by a number as follows: n/30, n>=18

FINAL MARK ALLOCATION CRITERIA
The exam consists of both a written test and an oral test weighted as follows: 80% written examination, 20% oral examination. A positive score in the written examination is necessary to pass the exam.
