Exam of Bases of Electromagnetics, Exam of Electromagnetic Fields or equivalent first level courses
Learning outcomes
The student must demonstrate: 1. knowledge and understanding of national and international standards concerning human safety from exposition to electromagnetic fields; 2. capability for application of standards in realistic environments; 3. capability to classify and describe the interaction mechanisms between electromagnetic fields and human body in the frequency range from ELF to microwaves; 4. knowledge and handling problems concerning human indirect safety aspects related to electronic devices malfunctioning due electromagnetic interferences; 5. capability of choice of suitable techniques to minimize the electromagnetic environmental impact of telecommunication systems; 6. capability of handlind techniques to mitigate the electromagnetic impact in areas showing non complaying field levels.
