Prerequisites
Differential and integral calculus for functions of one real variable, linear algebra and analytic geometry in the plane and in the space.

Learning outcomes
Knowledge of the basic elements of differential and integral calculus for functions of several variables with applications. Study and solution of some kind of ordinary differential equations.

Program
Curves and elements of differential geometry of the curves in the space. Functions of several real variables: limits, continuity, differentiability, maxima and minima. Implicit function and Dini's Theorem. Constrained maxima and minima, Lagrange multipliers. Mulpliple integrals and integration over a curve. Parametric surfaces and surface integrals. Conservative and irrotational vector fields. Flux and circulation of vector fields. Gauss-Green formula and Stokes Theorem. Ordinary differential equation and resolution of ordinary linear differential equations.

Development of the examination
LEARNING EVALUATION METHODS
The student will be assessed through on a written test and an oral test. The written test will assess the ability to solve problems by using the learned techniques. The oral test will assess the learning of the theory.

LEARNING EVALUATION CRITERIA
The written and oral tests are passed only if the student obtains a mark of at least 18/30 in each test. The student will be admitted to the oral test only if he has passed the written test.

LEARNING MEASUREMENT CRITERIA
At each question (written and oral) proposed to the student is associated a score so that each test can be assessed with a maximum score of 30/30. Only correct and complete answers will be evaluated with the maximum score.

FINAL MARK ALLOCATION CRITERIA
The final mark will be determined by the average of the two sustained tests.
